Yadira is an AI companion for people living with dementia, paired with tools for the person caring for them to keep track of the days. It works, in the sense that it runs and people talk to it. What it has not had is enough real households — real mornings, real repetition, real bad days — to know whether it is actually worth having around.
So we are asking for something specific: families and care teams willing to use Yadira with someone they actually care for, and tell us the truth about how it goes. Including when the answer is that it did not help, or that something it said was wrong.
Please read this part first. This is product field testing, not research and not a clinical trial. Yadira is not a medical device and it is not medically backed: it has never been clinically tested or reviewed by anyone. It does not diagnose or treat anything, we are not measuring health outcomes, and nothing here changes anyone's care, medication, or treatment. We would like it to earn clinical standing eventually, through a proper partnership with a care organisation and a study run to a protocol — this is not that, and we will not describe it as though it were. What we are asking is whether the thing is any good to live with — whether it is pleasant company, whether the tracking is worth the effort of keeping it up, and where it gets in the way.
Who we are hoping to hear from
- Family caregivers — one person, at home, caring for a parent, a partner, a grandparent.
- Care homes and day centres — where several people might use it, and staff can compare notes.
- Dementia organisations and helplines — if you want to look at it before you would ever mention it to the families who call you. That scrutiny is the most useful kind.
- Occupational therapists, dementia nurses, social workers — people who will spot in ten minutes what we would miss in a month.
What taking part actually involves
- Use it normally, for a few weeks. No script, no tasks, no schedule. The whole point is ordinary use.
- Tell us what happened. A short conversation every week or two — a call, an email, however you prefer. Twenty minutes, not an hour.
- Tell us when it goes wrong. A confusing reply, a moment that upset them, a feature nobody could find. Those are worth more to us than the good days.
- Stop whenever you want. No notice, no reason, no awkwardness. We will delete everything if you ask.
What we ask of the person being cared for: nothing
They are not a participant in anything. They talk to a companion on a tablet, or they do not. Nobody is asked to complete a task, answer a questionnaire, or be assessed. You are the one deciding, and you can stop on their behalf at any moment — if it distresses them, close it and tell us. That is the single most useful thing you could report.
What it costs
Nothing. The companion is free for families permanently, and field testers get the caregiver tools free for as long as they are testing. We are not selling anything here and there is no catch to find.
What we do with what you tell us
We use it to fix and improve Yadira. We will not publish anything identifiable about you or the person you care for without asking you first, in writing, for that specific thing. Your care circle's data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, and a field tester can have all of it deleted by asking.
Get in touch
Fill this in and we will reply personally — usually within a day or two. Or email Contact@Yadira.net directly if you would rather; both reach the same person.
