1. What Yadira is — and is not
Yadira is an AI companion for people living with dementia, paired with tools for their caregivers to keep track of the days and get practical suggestions. It is designed for comfort, connection, and everyday caregiving support. Yadira is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and nothing it says is medical advice. Decisions about medication, diagnosis, or treatment belong with a qualified clinician. In an emergency, contact emergency services immediately — never Yadira.
Nothing here is medically backed. Yadira has not been clinically tested or reviewed by any clinician or regulator, and it is not offered to you as a clinical tool. There are no published outcomes behind it and no evidence that it helps. The summaries, patterns, alerts, and suggestions it produces are a language model's reading of notes you typed in — useful for spotting what you might have missed and for having something to bring to an appointment, and nothing more. They are not assessments, findings, or clinical judgement, and they should never be the reason a care decision is made.
2. AI limitations
Yadira's conversations are generated by artificial intelligence. AI can be wrong, inconsistent, or confusing despite our safeguards. Never rely on Yadira alone for any decision that matters to health, safety, money, or legal affairs — bring in a qualified professional. You are responsible for supervising how it is used with the person in your care, and for discontinuing use if it causes distress.
3. Who Yadira is, and voices
Yadira is always Yadira. She does not impersonate anyone — living or dead — and she will not answer to another person's name. She will speak warmly about the people your loved one asks for, and if asked directly who she is, she says so.
An earlier version of this product had a “Vivid Mode” that let the companion speak in the name and voice of a real person, usually someone who had died. It has been removed: a person who has died cannot consent to being represented, and no one can consent on their behalf.
You may optionally lend Yadira a cloned voice. If you do, you affirm that the voice belongs to a living person who knows it is being used here and has agreed to it, and that you will stop using it if they withdraw that agreement. A cloned voice changes only how Yadira sounds — never who she says she is. Voice cloning must never be used to impersonate anyone, and never to deceive anyone for financial or legal purposes.
4. Caregiver responsibility
Account holders must be 18 or older. You are the responsible adult in this arrangement: Yadira supplements human care — it is never a substitute for supervision, human contact, or professional care. The patient-facing companion is provided free for families; you remain responsible for how your household or facility uses it, and you remain legally responsible for all care decisions.
5. Privacy and data
Conversations, memories, care logs, and check-ins are stored to make Yadira work (via Google Firebase) and are processed by the AI and voice services that power the product (including Google Gemini, OpenRouter, and Inworld) and by Stripe for payments. We use this data to provide and improve the service for your family — not to sell it. Please don't enter information you are not authorized to share. Yadira is not intended to be a system of record for regulated medical data. Our Privacy Policy sets this out in full, including how Google Calendar access is handled and how to have your data deleted.
6. Payments
The patient-facing companion is free. Caregiver Pro is a $39.99/month or $399/year subscription billed through Stripe; you can cancel any time via the billing portal and access continues to the end of the paid period. Care-facility partnerships are billed per-unit under separate agreement.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Yadira to harm, harass, defraud, or impersonate anyone for deceptive purposes, or to violate any law. Violations may result in suspension or termination of the account, immediately where a patient or other people are at risk.
8. No warranty; limitation of liability
Yadira is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify account holders in the app and ask you to review and accept the new version — each acceptance is recorded with its version and date.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
